Size Price Differently
Square footage sets the floor. Everything after it is detail. Pitch decides whether the crew can walk the roof or has to stage it. Layers decide how much comes off before anything goes on. Penetrations, chimneys, skylights and valleys are each a flashing detail that has to be built rather than covered. And decking is the one nobody can price from the ground, because nobody sees it until the old roof is off.
The instant estimate handles the first of those honestly and assumes the rest are ordinary. That assumption holds on most Triangle homes. Where it does not, the inspection is what catches it, and we would rather tell you on day one than on install day.

How accurate is the instant roof quote?
It is a real budget number rather than a guess. The tool measures your roof from aerial imagery, applies our current material and labour pricing, and emails you a range. What it cannot see is the condition of the decking under the shingles, how many layers are up there, or the state of the flashing, and those three things are what move a quote. Treat it as the number to plan around and the inspection as the number to sign.
Do I have to talk to anyone to get the estimate?
No. You enter the address, choose a shingle, and the estimate is emailed to you. Nobody has to come to the house for that first number, and there is no obligation to book anything afterwards.
Why is the instant quote different from my final price?
Usually decking. Tear off is the first time anyone sees the wood under your roof, and replacing sheets that have rotted is priced per sheet. Pitch, the number of existing layers, and complicated flashing details do the rest. We quote decking as a per sheet contingency up front so there is no surprise on install day.
What if my roof is not a straightforward replacement?
Low slope sections, metal, cedar and anything with significant storm damage price differently and the instant tool will not do them justice. For those, call us on 919-746-4771 and we will get on the roof instead.
Does getting an instant quote put me into a sales funnel?
You get the estimate by email and a call from us to ask whether you want an inspection. If you say no, that is the end of it. We do not pass your details to anyone else.
